Joey’s Smokin’ BBQ is a quick-serve Memphis style barbeque restaurant specializing in authentic southern recipes with a Southern California taste. Joey's has been open since January of 2005. The restaurant is a bistro and BBQ with a great light-and-healthy bistro menu as well as an award winning BBQ menu.
In addition to the award winning baby back ribs, tender pulled pork, and moist free-range hand pulled chicken, Joey’s menu features a variety of Kobe beef and Angus beef burgers to go along with a wide array of tantalizing salads. Secret family recipe dry rubs accompanied by flavorful sweet and wet sauces and a variety of southern side dishes are just a few of the ingredients that bring together a recipe for success. Award winning microbrews and wines are available. Joey’s Smokin' BBQ is designed to create a feeling of southern comfort and tranquility through authentic décor and music supplementary to every meal.
For drinks we also found options, allowable with our beer and wine license, that are under 24% alcohol by volume and resemble tequila, triple sec, vodka and gin, allowing our customers to partake in margaritas, martinis, Bloody Marys, rum-and-coke and our one-of-a-kind drink, "The Aztec"-- created during the recent San Diego States basketball team's appearance in the sweet sixteen -- and don't forget: we also have seven large screen TVs for watching your favorite sports team. One-of-a-kind breakfast items can be found every Saturday and Sunday between 8 AM and 1 PM.
Doc's Saloon is a traditional neighborhood bar in the tradition of Cheers. You may see some of your neighbors and meet new friends. Look for Raff (akaCarla), Dan (aka Norm), Joe (aka Cliff), Matt (aka Woody), and some of the other characters reminiscent of Cheers.
